Machine Operator / Forklift Operator

Workhorse Staffing are seeking experienced Machine Operators and Forklift Operators to join a well-established building products manufacturer.

We are looking for reliable, safety-focused candidates with manufacturing, production or materials handling experience who can contribute to a busy factory environment.

ABOUT THE ROLES:

Depending on your experience and skill set, your duties may include:

• Setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery and equipment
  
• Completing pre-start checks and routine equipment inspections
  
• Performing basic troubleshooting and reporting equipment faults
  
• Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
  
• Loading and unloading trucks and moving materials throughout the factory
  
• Stacking and storing products safely to maintain product quality
  
• Conducting quality checks and reporting damaged or defective products
  
• Completing production, loading and inventory documentation
  
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work area
  
• Working with production and warehouse teams to meet operational targets
  

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in these opportunities, you will have:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehousing or logistics environment
  
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures
  
• A reliable work ethic and willingness to contribute to a busy production environment
  

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• For Machine Operator positions, experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
  
• For Forklift Operator positions, a current and valid forklift licence and previous materials handling experience
  

HIGHLY REGARDED:

• Experience in manufacturing or building products
  
• Gantry or overhead crane certification
  
• Experience with inventory management or warehouse systems
  
• Basic computer skills and production record keeping
  
• First Aid certification
